April at the lake!

Today was the 10th time I have gone waterskiing so far this season! It has been awesome weather, well at least good enough to go with a drysuit on. Dustin and I are the only ones crazy enough to consistently go, so I have had to get good at driving the boat. I am usually more nervous about driving Dustin than getting into the frigid water.

We have also had three bonfires so far. You would be amazed at the turnouts that we get. The first time we decided to do it at 8:00 at night and had 15 people show up. The next time we planned it at 5:00 and had 29 people. This last weekend was planned in advance for my roommate, Karen's birthday and we had 50 people show up. People love it. Who knew... marshmallows and fire would have such a great response.

I got called to be the activities co-chair again.... my 7th time! The above story might show why:

a. I have fun planning things for people to do.

b. I actually care about attendance

c. I am crazy enough to say yes.

The bummer part is... well, one of the bummer parts is that they sustained me on Sunday and did not release me from being a Gospel Doctrine teacher... I thought it was a mistake and it turns out I am keeping both callings for the time being... ahh!

Grandma Shirley's 80th Birthday Party!

Grandma Shirley's party was last weekend. It was an awesome night honoring an awesome woman. Here are some pictures of the night with the fam.

Me and my buddy Jaxon
Dad and me
Mom and me
Mya in the wheelchair... super trooper! She is handling being in a wheelchair much better than I did when I broke my leg at 21!
Me and the Birthday Girl! I hope I look that good when I am 80!
Me, my dad, and Traci (we were all wearing blue, so we had to take a picture of the three of us)
Isn't this too cute of Dad and Ruby!
The cutest couple I know!
Me, Grandpa, and Traci

3 Months Down...

A 1/4 of the year has gone by with absolutely no shoe purchases! The problem is that I have started to purchase all sorts of new things... Ray Bans, Rock and Republics, William Rasts, Dresses (4), and that is just a few... this no shoe thing is not saving me a dime. Oh well!

Cute Mya

For those of you who do not know Mya, she is my 4 year old neice and one of my favorite little buddies. She has had hip problems since she was born and just had her second surgery on Tuesday. It went very well and much better than expected. She was going to be in cast on both legs, but they only had to do the one. The cast starts right under her chest and has a couple openings for toilet reasons and then goes down to her ankle on one leg. She is such a trooper, but obviously very sad, in pain, and wants to be out of the cast. Unfortunately, over the next 6 weeks she will have to get very used to that cast.
This was pre-surgery... a little loopy from her medicine and a little nervous about what was going to happen to her.

This was post surgery. She was so sad. It broke my heart.

Family Home Evening

Good times with the family...
Cory and Ruby waving.
The kids having mock s'mores because it was way too cold and wet to do outside.
Teaching Peyton how to hit the ping pong ball. He is going to be a pro.
Aydan thought he was so funny. He kept laughing at himself when he saw this picture.
Sadie is also going to be a champ at the old ping pong table.
