the church+ping pong table+3:30am+air mattress+ripped bra= huh?

Don't be dirty! Nothing bad happened, but it was really funny. My friends had to stay at the church overnight to guard the art exhibit. They decided that it would be fun to take their ping pong table. I am always up for ping pong, so I headed to the church to hang out with them. After many hours of playing, we were all getting a little tired and a little loopy (or maybe that was just me). I had already been hit in the face and arm and had played at least 15 games. I had been running all over the place, loving the larger room to play in. Alan hit a great forehand shot and as I went after it I slipped on Erik's airmattress and tried to grab onto one of those little church tables and hit right under my armpit and landed on the ground. It hurt really bad, but it was mostly funny. I could not stop laughing. I soon got up and finished beating Alan. It still hurt really bad and I felt under my armpit and believe it or not, either the fall or the slam on the table caused my bra to break. My brastrap was completely torn off on one side. Needless to say, it was time for me to go home. What a great night!
By the way, the boys told me that I still got the shot over!

Pickle Juice Drinking Contest

This is me still thinking about how I can get out of this.
Cheers to the competitors.

Yep, that is right. I was in a pickle juice drinking contest. I went to another ward's singles activity and the only people I really knew were the friends I went with. Somehow I got involved in the contest. I did not drink it the fastest, but I finished it all. It was quite disgusting, but I am so stinking competitive I had to finish. We went to a piano bar downtown after. I have never tasted such gross burps in my life. Yep, all in the name of compitition, I drank all that pickle juice.

2 Months Down...

It is the last day of the second month in 2008 and I have successfully refrained from buying any shoes so far this year. I also went through my shoes last week and am donating at least 40 pairs. I realize that some of you might be interested in checking them out before I give them away, but I would not fully support anyone wearing most of them. I have definitely gone through some bad shoe phases. Anyhow, since I have had a chance to clear some space in my closet, I had to take a picture of how cute my closet it. It comes with the territory of the "inlovewithshoes" blog. If you were planning on counting them, don't... this isn't all them.

Yea for Utah

I went to Utah last weekend. It was so much fun. I ate, went to Aaron and Angela's wedding, ate, hung out with Nicole, ate, went to Ikea, ate, spent time with my favorite youngest sister, ate, and visited some old college buddies... and ate some more.

snowmobling rocks my world!!

So, I went up to Granby this weekend to do some snowmobiling. It was the coolest thing I have done in quite sometime. Poor Dustin spent most of the day digging me out after I got stuck. It was so much fun.

February 1st.... one month down, dare I say 11 more to go?

So, I had a really strange thought when thinking of my New Year's resolutions for 2008. I thought that maybe, just maybe, I could go a whole year without purchasing shoes. I quickly pushed that thought aside and went on with making my other realistic goals for the year. As I walked passed the shoe department at Nordy's today I realized that I went a whole month without buying any shoes! That might not be not be much of a feat (no pun intended) to most, but I am not quite sure how long it has been since I went a month without purchasing a pair of shoes. Do you really think I could last all year without buying a new pair? Hmmm.... I am not quite sure I can make that kind of commitment, but I will for sure give it a shot. Really, I have enough shoes to only have to wear the same pair 2 1/2 days out of the year and then move on to the next. That may seem like plenty, but with styles changing, there might end up being a pair that I cannot possibly live without... we'll see.
