4 Months!!
4 Months down folks! A third of the year has gone by and I have not made a single shoe purchase. I need your help... I am well aware that I am stubborn enough to make it the rest of the year without buying shoes, but is it worth it? I already abstain from quite a bit in life and if buying shoes makes me happy, why would I take that away from myself? Can I really just stand by while the country is in a recession and not help the economy out? What do you think?

Hmmmm...this is a tough call. I think it depends on how serious your addiction is. In my line of work, we would need to ask, are you able to buy in moderation, or do you require total abstinence? If moderation is possible, then we can take the "harm reduction" route and perhaps you can limit yourself. One pair a month? One pair every two months? What seems like a reasonable goal for you? When you think, "just one won't hurt" do you find yourself sitting in your closet with 12 new pairs of shoes and realized that you went a little too far? We might need and hour and a couch to really work this through...
Don't do it Jen! This is your rational friend talking. You can make it and then you can brag about it for years to come. To this day I am very proud of myself for completing a new years resolution of not wearing matching socks. It feels so good.
Go ahead and buy shoes. What's the harm in it? It doesn't hurt anyone else and it makes you happy. Don't let your stubborness get in the way of your happiness in life!!

Hm. Do you have enough "good" shoes to last you? If so, hold out, you've already almost made it half way!!!
(Of course, if you see a really great shoe that might not be around next year,...that could kill a girl)
um... hello!? is anybody out there? so, i'm pretty sure i dont frequent the blog community as much as some, but i'm pretty sure you're due up for a new one. what do you think?! :)
ok SERIOUSLY! this is so old... do you realize its the end of may and you still haven't updated!? i understand that you spend all of your free time either at the gym or at the lake or with 'friends' but... COME ON! you're due up for an update!!! :)
