2 Months Down...

It is the last day of the second month in 2008 and I have successfully refrained from buying any shoes so far this year. I also went through my shoes last week and am donating at least 40 pairs. I realize that some of you might be interested in checking them out before I give them away, but I would not fully support anyone wearing most of them. I have definitely gone through some bad shoe phases. Anyhow, since I have had a chance to clear some space in my closet, I had to take a picture of how cute my closet it. It comes with the territory of the "inlovewithshoes" blog. If you were planning on counting them, don't... this isn't all them.

Yea for Utah

I went to Utah last weekend. It was so much fun. I ate, went to Aaron and Angela's wedding, ate, hung out with Nicole, ate, went to Ikea, ate, spent time with my favorite youngest sister, ate, and visited some old college buddies... and ate some more.

snowmobling rocks my world!!

So, I went up to Granby this weekend to do some snowmobiling. It was the coolest thing I have done in quite sometime. Poor Dustin spent most of the day digging me out after I got stuck. It was so much fun.

February 1st.... one month down, dare I say 11 more to go?

So, I had a really strange thought when thinking of my New Year's resolutions for 2008. I thought that maybe, just maybe, I could go a whole year without purchasing shoes. I quickly pushed that thought aside and went on with making my other realistic goals for the year. As I walked passed the shoe department at Nordy's today I realized that I went a whole month without buying any shoes! That might not be not be much of a feat (no pun intended) to most, but I am not quite sure how long it has been since I went a month without purchasing a pair of shoes. Do you really think I could last all year without buying a new pair? Hmmm.... I am not quite sure I can make that kind of commitment, but I will for sure give it a shot. Really, I have enough shoes to only have to wear the same pair 2 1/2 days out of the year and then move on to the next. That may seem like plenty, but with styles changing, there might end up being a pair that I cannot possibly live without... we'll see.
