2 Months Down...

It is the last day of the second month in 2008 and I have successfully refrained from buying any shoes so far this year. I also went through my shoes last week and am donating at least 40 pairs. I realize that some of you might be interested in checking them out before I give them away, but I would not fully support anyone wearing most of them. I have definitely gone through some bad shoe phases. Anyhow, since I have had a chance to clear some space in my closet, I had to take a picture of how cute my closet it. It comes with the territory of the "inlovewithshoes" blog. If you were planning on counting them, don't... this isn't all them.

I boy do I know how many shoes you used to have and I am sure that it has gotten even more out of control. I wish that I had the same size feet as you many times, your closet is literally a department at Nordstrom. In fact, I think that there should be a section called "Jen's Closet". Maybe they would sponsor you so that you can reward yourself with some new shoes that you don't even have to buy. Good idea, Teri.

Maybe if things to get to be too hard for you, you could buy some shoes for your favorite older brother(who happens to be a shoe fan also but can't afford the habit since he has to put shoes on all 4 of his kids). I don't know if that would be against the rules but I could certainly overlook it.

Do you happen to be getting rid of any black wedges with mirror embellishment on the top? I have been looking for a pair, and I think you may be able to help me out.

Cafe Rio Dressing:
1 buttermilk ranch dressing packet
(Hidden Valley Ranch brand recommended)
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup mayo (for South Beach, do not use fat free)
2 tomatillos, husk removed and diced
(usually sold near tomatoes)
½ bunch of cilantro
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1 lime

You could substitute a few drops of green tobasco for the jalapeno.)
Use a food processor to blend all the ingredients well.
Refrigerate 1-2 hours before using.

Hey Jen!!
This is Erin, from way back when in the single's ward! I fished my way around several blogs and came across yours! Glad you are sticking to your resolution....I'm with your brother, though. If you need anyone to buy shoes for (in case of withdrawls) you can always buy some for me...size 10. love ya!

If you have made it to the middle of March with out any of the new spring shoes you must really be sick or really be committed. Mom
